we went to watch phantom of the opera yesterday in copenhagen!ps: we means the NUS-NTU clique in Copenhagen Business School not that we ostracise the SMU crowd (they are nice people too), but then somehow we just don't hangout together. having never been to musicals, but only dramas and plays, this musical was a delightful experience even though it was performed in danish, a language which i have yet to master and will never master. (it's hard, i swear) the theatre house was pretty (: the opera's stage effects was brilliant, like dropping of chandlier, and stage use was super, the rowing of the boat.... and the live orchestra playing the familar tunes of the song like Think of me, All i ask of you even though the singing was in danish. thank goodness 3 days ago charmaine and me revised the phantom of the opera movie together :D and it helped us in understanding what was going on. (i miss my rv drama days suddenly, cos performing to a full house is so exciting definitely for the actors and actresses!) i am definitely going to watch this again if it comes to singapore!!!! and i so want to go UK to watch more musicals!  how the ticket looks like (: it cost me around 60 sing dollars for e 2nd cheapest seats  we were sitting around that region lah, 2nd row from bottom.  posing with poster  pre-musical: outside the theatre house, all excited  us with the tickets 6 of them! and waiting to be allowed in  crowds. we were among the first in line to enter! look they are all DANISH people, we are the only Asians watching this Danish Musical ah-ha we are so cultured!  painting on the walls but look like sculpture doesnt it?  pretty walls  this is how the concert hall looks like. super steep. we were joking how "pls dont fall, unless u want to stay here and be the phantom (ha ha.)  intermission- us at our seats we got a kind lady to help us take photos!  cam whore camwhore. sepia is so sweet! multishot is so addictive ps: Gonna watch ice hockey game tonight and going to malmo, sweden tmr! (: but i have a presentation meeting in school later! ahhh (& you thought my life here was ALL PLAY AND NO WORK) wrong, wrong! plenty of readings. |
